Books Galore!

Featured Artists, L to R- George Butler, Benjamin Mills, Thomas Knowler, Kareena Zerefos, Olivier Tafforin, me and my lovely boyfriend Daniel Sims

I spent Wednesday evening at the super sleek London Taschen Store celebrating the launch of Illustration Now! Vol. 4. The rain may have been pitter-pattering down outside but that didn't dampen people's spirits. The wine flowed freely, people chatted away happily and everyone got to have a good snoop at the amazing books on offer. I had a great time meeting some of the other featured illustrators and even signed a few copies of the book!

One of my featured illustrations Little Vixen is being displayed in the window for the next few days so if you're passing by be sure to have a peek in!

Book Launch!

I've been keeping this under wraps but...I have been featured in the brand new art book Illustration Now! Vol. 4 by TASCHEN. It's such a privilege to have my work living amongst the pages of so many accomplished and well-established artists. It still feels rather unreal as only last year Illustration Now! Vol. 3 was on my Christmas list and this year I am in their latest release!

Nothing was confirmed until a month or so ago when a big brown parcel appeared at my door. I ripped it open and was greeted by 2 shiny completmentary copies of the book, courtesy of TASCHEN. Whilst one has been doing the rounds with family and friends, I can't quite bring myself to open the second so for now it is still all wrapped up and pristine, sitting snugly on my shelf.

Featured Illustration: Sweet Dreams

Featured Illustration: Little Vixen

Coincidentally my talented photographer/illustrator boyfriend Daniel was also selected for the book so our work is sitting happily along side each other, it is so strange and amazing seeing both our names on the contents page together.

We are off to the book launch tonight at the Taschen Store in London and it looks set to be a fantastic evening so if you're free then pop along!

Sun, Squirrels & Success!

After a magical 2 days outdoors at the Bloomsbury Festival I'm back at my desk with pen in hand, ready to get back to work. I couldn't have wished for better weather for the event, the sun sparkled all weekend, music filled Russel Square and the delicious smell of freshly cooked food was carried on the breeze.

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of people coming over to my stall and I had a wonderful time chatting to lots of lovely people who took an interest in my work. Everyone seemed to be in a very autumnal mood and my fox and squirrel cards sold out on the first day. I have a very small amount left in my studio so if you would like one make sure you act fast!

I hope everyone who stopped by enjoyed themselves, I certainly did!

Count-down

I'm still a busy bee packaging and sorting for the Bloomsbury Festival TOMORROW! As well as my perfectly pretty cards and bags, I'll have my brand new super sweet and silly tipsy badger tea-towels on sale for the first time ever! They would make the perfect gift for those who like a tipple...or two. My new Christmas stockings will also be on sale, they're ready and waiting to be filled up with gorgeous goodies!

I'm very excited and have been working like crazy to get everything ready so lets hope it pays off! Remember to pop by if you're in the area, it's set to be a truly amazing event...

"Bloomsbury may be best known for the British Museum, but this weekend (Friday 21-Sunday 23 October) it will come alive with an enormous array of events at the Bloomsbury Festival. There are dance displays, lantern parades, pot puzzles and tea exhibitions...Write a letter to someone in the Letter Lounge, get your tongue tied at an exhibition exploring the intricacies of language at the Imaginary Menagerie, or browse Bloomsbury’s bookshops, which will also house craft stalls from local designers such as Cards by Cassandra. Sounds bloomin’ marvellous."

Once Upon a Time...

Armed with a wooly scarf, a pot of Itsu dumplings and a camera (with a very low battery!), I jumped on a train from Victoria to Brighton in search of adventure. Here's a little peak at what caught my eye...

Hazy light, autumnal colours and aztec prints aplenty plus, of course, a huge dollop of alternative style. Goodbye Brighton- until next time!

Bloomsbury Festival

Pop by and say hello to me at the Bloomsbury Festival next weekend!

On 22nd and 23rd I will have a stall spilling over with glorious seasonal delights. Come and treat yourself to some gorgeous goodies or grab some early Christmas pressies for your very favourite people!

I'm working hard on drawing, snipping, sewing and packaging to make sure everything is in tip top condition and ready for new homes.

I'll be stocking my brand new winter range as well, some of which hasn't been seen by anyone else but me yet! And if you don't feel special enough already, my Tipsy Badger will also be making an appearance. He always brings a smile to people's faces!

Hopefully see you there!
