Snow Sprinkled

One of my cat illustrations that didn't quite make the cut when I was producing my latest Christmas card range

December is upon us and, despite the Christmas rush, I can't help but secretly think it would be quite nice to be snowed in right now. Hot toddy in one hand, a good book in the other and, of course, a roaring fire to keep away the frostbite!

Well I can't quite bring you that but I can bring you some wonderfully wintery snow sprinkled goodies from some very talented people, take a peak below...

Books Galore!

Featured Artists, L to R- George Butler, Benjamin Mills, Thomas Knowler, Kareena Zerefos, Olivier Tafforin, me and my lovely boyfriend Daniel Sims

I spent Wednesday evening at the super sleek London Taschen Store celebrating the launch of Illustration Now! Vol. 4. The rain may have been pitter-pattering down outside but that didn't dampen people's spirits. The wine flowed freely, people chatted away happily and everyone got to have a good snoop at the amazing books on offer. I had a great time meeting some of the other featured illustrators and even signed a few copies of the book!

One of my featured illustrations Little Vixen is being displayed in the window for the next few days so if you're passing by be sure to have a peek in!

Book Launch!

I've been keeping this under wraps but...I have been featured in the brand new art book Illustration Now! Vol. 4 by TASCHEN. It's such a privilege to have my work living amongst the pages of so many accomplished and well-established artists. It still feels rather unreal as only last year Illustration Now! Vol. 3 was on my Christmas list and this year I am in their latest release!

Nothing was confirmed until a month or so ago when a big brown parcel appeared at my door. I ripped it open and was greeted by 2 shiny completmentary copies of the book, courtesy of TASCHEN. Whilst one has been doing the rounds with family and friends, I can't quite bring myself to open the second so for now it is still all wrapped up and pristine, sitting snugly on my shelf.

Featured Illustration: Sweet Dreams

Featured Illustration: Little Vixen

Coincidentally my talented photographer/illustrator boyfriend Daniel was also selected for the book so our work is sitting happily along side each other, it is so strange and amazing seeing both our names on the contents page together.

We are off to the book launch tonight at the Taschen Store in London and it looks set to be a fantastic evening so if you're free then pop along!

Sun, Squirrels & Success!

After a magical 2 days outdoors at the Bloomsbury Festival I'm back at my desk with pen in hand, ready to get back to work. I couldn't have wished for better weather for the event, the sun sparkled all weekend, music filled Russel Square and the delicious smell of freshly cooked food was carried on the breeze.

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of people coming over to my stall and I had a wonderful time chatting to lots of lovely people who took an interest in my work. Everyone seemed to be in a very autumnal mood and my fox and squirrel cards sold out on the first day. I have a very small amount left in my studio so if you would like one make sure you act fast!

I hope everyone who stopped by enjoyed themselves, I certainly did!
